ABOUT CUAS


The Chicago Urban Art Society (CUAS) is an emerging art non-profit organization based in East Pilsen’s Cermak Creative Industry District.
CUAS is a multi-use art and creative center that promotes the works of contemporary artists and creative arts practice.
Through exhibitions, innovative teaching and learning opportunities, and non-traditional venue space, CUAS is by nature cross-platform and establishes its credibility through creative juxtapositions.
Founders and siblings, Peter Kepha and Lauren M. Pacheco owned and operated 32nd&urban: gallery/space in the Bridgeport community between 2006-2008. Third generation Mexican Americans born and raised on Chicago’s southwest side. Lauren holds a degree in social work and Peter Kepha has a degree in oil painting.
